Campus life turned me into someone my parents would never recognize
At home, I was the quiet, obedient child. On campus, I learned quickly that being ‘good’ didn’t pay. I watched classmates cheat and succeed. I watched girls align themselves with powerful men. I watched guys form networks that guaranteed grades. By third year, I had changed. I sorted lecturers, joined exam rings, lied confidently, and manipulated situations. I wasn’t proud, but I was tired of losing. By graduation, I had become sharp, fearless, and morally numb. My parents thanked God for raising me well. I didn’t correct them. University didn’t just educate me. It reshaped my values completely.
