My roommate has been eating my food for 6 months pretending he doesn't know

I've been noticing my food disappearing. I set up a camera. It's my roommate. He eats my soup, rice, everything. When I confronted him, he SWORE on his mother's life it's not him. I showed him the video. He started crying and said 'guy I been dey hungry'. I don't know whether to pity him or beat him.
